With a history of 156 years, Changan Automobile has 34 years’ experience in auto-making. Changan has 16 production bases and 35 vehicle and engine plants globally, and 10 key overseas markets. 

Changan is among Top 4 Chinese automobile groups. In 2014, total production and sales of Changan-branded vehicles exceeded 10 million. Changan’s production and sales volume in 2016 hit 3,000,000 units. By March of 2018, Changan-branded vehicle users have exceeded 16 million. Changan was selected into “CCTV National Brand Program” twice, as the leader of Chinese automotive brands.

Changan Automobile is committed to building world-class R&D capability. For 5 sessions in the past 10 years, Changan has been NO.1 in R&D capability in China’s automotive industry. Changan has over 11,000 R&D personnel from 16 countries, nearly 500 are senior experts, 14 experts are  elected into China’s Recruitment Program of Global Experts. We have built a globally collaborative R&D network with various priorities, connecting the R&D centers in Chongqing, Shanghai and Beijing of China, Turin of Italy, Yokohama of Japan, Nottingham of UK and Detroit and Silicon Valley of USA. To ensure all products meet customers’ demand of driving for 10 years and 260,000 kilometers, Changan has established product development system and test validation system.

Changan Automobile has launched a series of classic products including RAETON series, CS series, EADO series, Alsvin series, Honor, Oushang, CX70.With “hi-tech and trendy, efficient and clean, safe and smart” guiding product design, Changan has been vigorously developing new energy vehicles and intelligent vehicles.

In the field of new energy vehicles, Changan automobile issued a strategy, Project Shangri-la. Changan automobile will forge three dedicated platforms for new energy vehicles by 2020, end sale of traditional fuel vehicles and realize automobile electrification by 2025.Changan automobile formulated four strategic actions，"Action of Hundred Billion", "R&D of Ten Thousand", "Peer Program" and "Ultimate Experience".

In intelligent vehicle field, Changan Automobile has mastered over 100 technologies in intelligent connectivity, intelligent interaction and intelligent driving. In April 2016, Changan’s RAETON autonomous vehicle travelled 2,000 km from Chongqing to Beijing. This is the first long-distance autonomous driving test successfully completed in China. 

Changan actively seeks global partnership and built joint ventures including  Changan Ford (in 2001), Jiangling Holdings (in 2004), Changan Mazda (in 2005) .Furthermore, by introducing Chinese-brand products into joint ventures, Changan created a new mode of cooperation between Chinese and foreign automakers.
